The sauna is very big and for the most part clean. It’s never really really busy. They do not provide a slipper for you to wear so you have to be walking barefooted which I find very unhygienic, they charge for everything like an extra towel if you need it. They also have a bar and restaurant which is very cozy but they do not serve alcohol, if you want to have anything alcoholic you have to bring it and hand it in at the desk for them to keep and you just ask for it when you want. The staff is very friendly also.

The rooms

They rent rooms for short stays which includes breakfast but you have to notify them the night before that you want it at anyone of the time slots they have available. The rooms are located at the back of the facility, they are renovated trailers homes done up like a room and bathroom. The beds are as old as time and they are not kept in a very clean condition but for a night or two it’s durable. The premises closes at the sauna closing time so if you are renting the room you have a curfew and if you come back to the premises after the sauna closing time you will be locked out( they really need to fix that ! It was annoying !) and there is no possibly way for you to get in so they do not consider the customers who are staying in the rooms.

Disgusted how one of their staff approached me after I’ve paid £20 to use their building. All because I wasn’t ’fully naked’. Apparently it’s a ‘strict policy’ and a customer complained I was wearing ‘pants’. Yes I was and was not going to take them off due to the towel being too small. I understand if they have a policy but the manner in which the guy spoke to me was utterly bizarre and out of order. I also suspect I was being surveilled to some extent as he came back a second time within about an hour with his torchlight and was even more aggressive in his attitude stating ‘take them off or we will order you to leave!’. Which I then left of my own accord.

I asked for a refund but was told ‘we don’t do refunds’ and so will be doing a chargeback to which he stated ‘your membership is cancelled’.

I will not be using this place again and encourage others to avoid them too. The place is also pretty unclean and unremarkable. My main reason to use them was their sauna but I was only going roughly every dozen months and there are other better and cleaner saunas out there. My advice is take your money to people who actually know how to treat customers / people correctly.

Looks like they’ve started turning or lowering the heating down again, some radiators not on at all. It was freezing on my visit today , alot of money to pay for this kind of ambience. always enjoy my visits but think functioning issues need to be addressed .

Been coming to this sauna for many years. It has good facilities and the staff are great. But recently a few visits have been ruined by people taking drugs and I haven’t felt safe there. Feel the owners need to take drug use more seriously and support people to call out problem use and ask those involved to leave. Some signs to let people know they will be supported if they need to speak up might help. Next time I have a problem with a drug user there I’m just going to call the police myself.
