Gay Bar in Newcastle

Guide To The Bank Bar

The Bank Bar

This former bank has been converted into a lively gar pub in the heart of Newcastle pink triangle.

Friendly atmosphere. They tend to play more cheesy music and, for the most part, attract a good crowd.

Found this place completely by mistake on the way to the arena for a gig. Beer was a reasonable price, music was incredibly camp and the drag DJ was hilarious.

All put together, it was a brilliant hour spent here.

If back in the area, then I’ll be back here. Much better than the crappy trendy bars and terrible music with people in designer gear acting tough.

This bar even on a weekend is not so good.

The manager threw my drink in the sink and wouldn’t refund me?

I’m a cancer survivor after a 11 hour operation on my neck and this manager called over a bouncer from rushtys bar who goaded me to fight him ….I’m 67 year old pensioner ?

So I went elsewhere and the bouncer followed me and grabbed me at the Yard as I tried to enter ….he then hurt my cancer wound and then punched my kidneys covertly as he’s a bully and coward who should be stripped of his licence. He heckled me for 10 minutes whilst I had a smoke to calm my nerves and pain

I then went home sober as a judge not being allowed even a glass of water!?

Stay clear of this venue at all costs
