A Brief History of The Grosvenor Bar

Collin Day has been managing The Grosvenor Bar for the past few years, and since his arrival, the bar has undergone two redecorations. The initial transformation featured super camp glitter walls, feathers, and masks, creating a playful and extravagant ambience. The bar’s current look showcases a more theatrical style, including a drag queen tribute wall displaying famous drag queens from past and present. Local drag queens eagerly await the opportunity to have their photo mounted on the wall, adding to the bar’s vibrant and inclusive atmosphere.

A Welcoming and Inclusive Space

The Grosvenor Bar is open seven days a week and holds a late license, allowing guests to enjoy the festivities until the early hours. With a range of events throughout the week, there’s never a dull moment at The Grosvenor Bar. On Thursdays, you can join in the fun at Drag Bingo, a night filled with laughter, games, and fabulous prizes. Fridays are reserved for Karaoke, where you can showcase your singing talents or cheer on fellow performers. And on Saturdays, prepare to be entertained by top-notch cabaret performances starting at 10pm.

We just popped in for a pre-dinner drink. The staff were really friendly and the atmosphere was lovely and relaxed. Very good beer. Will definitely come again next time we are in Brighton.

I’m really happy i stopped by today whilst visiting Brighton. The bar is intimate and contemporary.

The owner was great, and gave me recommendations for other gay bars, and art galleries, whilst also giving me directions to all things I would enjoy on my first time visit to Brighton.

Definitely coming back here 👍🏼
