Went there on a Tuesday afternoon and it was sort of busy with many types of guys. The guy at the door was super sweet and explained to me how things worked. One of the barmen on the other hand behaves like he doesn’t want to be there, and maybe he shouldn’t.
Vault is the best, without a doubt. I thought all the bars in London were like Vault until I went to a club in the suburbs last weekend. Then I realized how great the clubs in the city center are. The bar in the suburbs was almost empty and the customers were particularly rude. But the customers at Vault are all very friendly and the boss is even more considerate. Last time, he patiently helped me look for something. There’s no comparison and no pain. From now on, I will only come to Vault to have fun. The boss always smiles and asks us if we are having a good time. It feels really great.
Subject: Feedback on My Visit – Positive Welcome, But Disrespectful Farewell
Dear Vault 139,
I’d like to share some honest feedback about my recent visit.
From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with warmth and outstanding customer service by the staff member at reception. That kind interaction meant a lot to me — it was my first time going out alone in a long time, and I was facing personal challenges related to mental health. Arriving before 19:00 gave me time to enjoy the space while still fully dressed, which helped me feel comfortable and safe.
At 19:00, I decided to leave, proud of myself for making the effort and actually enjoying the experience. However, what followed left me feeling disappointed and disrespected.
When I went to collect my belongings, a staff member behind the counter threw the basket at me with clear frustration, which felt unnecessarily hostile. I remained silent, wanting to hold on to the positive feelings I’d gained.
Then, while I was in line to return the basket, another staff member abruptly snatched it from my hands, without saying a word or giving me the chance to return it properly to the kind receptionist who had welcomed me so well. The way it happened felt aggressive and dismissive.
This ending was in sharp contrast to how my visit began. I want to make it clear that I had done nothing wrong to warrant that kind of treatment. For someone like me, who’s slowly rebuilding confidence and re-entering queer social spaces, experiences like these can be deeply discouraging.
Please ensure all staff treat guests with dignity and care from beginning to end. I genuinely hope this was an exception, not the norm. I’d love to return, but only if I can trust that my presence will be met with the same respect I offered.
Kind regards,
Nicolas
My first impression of the place is that I (a 6’3 guy) smashed my head on one of the low ceilings. Too dark, very busy, toilet area was so disgusting I didn’t even bother. Good place if you like bears, daddy’s or a concision.
Great place friendly staff very helpful too free drink and cloak room for London for 13 quid and great dark rooms too totally fantastic experience and busy I thought I lost my card inside the staff all helped me look but I forgot I put it in my sock they were so lovely helping me with torches great great helpful staff thank you
