An impossible evening to forget. My new husband and I decided to have a simple wedding and decided to visit the Friendly Society for an after lunch drinks. Little did we know that it would be the most wonderful highlight of our wedding day. The host Maria made our day super special. She played our favourite music, opened us a bottle of Bollinger topped with a fantastic greeting card enclosed with a laminated photo of our wedding and a surprise gift!!!! It was truly a magical experience that we will never forget. Maria is an angel sent from heaven. We salute you!!! The friendly society really lived up to its name all made possible by Maria. Maria and her venue will forever be in our hearts. Big love to you and your team. ❤️
I’ve been coming to the friendly Society for many months absolutely love everything about it however London pride they needed to have up their game. The security guard was eating fish and chips outside. He was rude. He was condescending he was disrespectful. Do you know the password? I said I don’t know the password because nothing was put out there however I do know the manager and one of my friends is down there and I’ve just come outside for a cigarette, oh well you need the password I said well I’m sorry we came as a group. I don’t know the password. Oh, you can’t come in. Finally my friend did come out and he told me the password and then I was allowed instantly back in. I think the password is very Outdated. and if you’re going to have security, they should be respectful and they should be professional not stuffing their face outside the venue if they’re on break that’s fine. Replace them with another member of staff. It was incredibly rude and I’ve never said this before but I don’t think I’ll ever return to the front of society after that experience.
