Absolutely love this place. But the new toilets renovation has really bothered me. When I first started to come here there were just toilets. Not labelled with genders but just toilets everyone could go in. I admit they were a bit sketchy and this renovation is nice, but now the toilets are gendered. In the future I wouldn’t like to see gendered toilets at an LGBT nightclub. Maybe change it to be rooms for urinals and stalls. Because as I am a very feminine man who likes to dress up as a female I don’t feel comfortable in gendered bathrooms. Overall it’s a really nice place and I recommend it.

Used to be a great hub for lgbtq+ but has become a profiteering scheme to squeeze as much as they can from the clientele. People want to dance but the stage has taken so much space it’s impossible to dance without frustration from people bumping into you. It also smells like effluent.
They charge £10 for the experience. One of the few safe gay places so people will pay for this slop.

On the night of Friday 12 December, we were denied entry by a staff member named Antonia. We were explicitly told we could not enter because we were a group of five men and there were no women with us.
This was particularly shocking given that this is a queer venue, and three out of the five of us are gay. There were no issues related to behaviour, intoxication, dress code, or capacity. The only reason given was the gender composition of our group.
Policies like this feel exclusionary and contradictory to the inclusive values an LGBTQ+ space is supposed to represent. People should be judged by their behaviour, not by whether they fit a certain group formula.
Unfortunately, this experience felt unwelcoming and disappointing. We won’t be returning.

Been coming here for years and never really had a problem , but came here last night with my friend ( who is apart of the LGBT community) , we were in the que to enter then we got approached by a blonde male bouncer who was trying to intimidate me then said “you do realise this is a gay bar” I told him I knew and have been coming here for years and then told him my friend was gay he then replied “ he doesn’t look gay to me” so my friend called him out and told him he shouldn’t judge people and make assumptions , the bouncer then said “ your wearing a Hugo boss jumper , gay people do not wear hugo boss” me and my friend were in such disbelief with what we just heard him say. We were really disappointed with how we were spoken to and left the que, will no longer be coming here.

Quite disappointed this time. I’ve been here loads of times and had a cracking night out. This time I booked the VIP package for 4 through a 3rd party well in advance. We turned up at 7:30 and were let in and asked to stand in the side bar and wait. When a member of staff arrived they asked if were checking into the hotel! When informed what we’re here for we were greeted with a look of surprise and if you get yourself a drink at the bar we’re still setting things up. Ok. 2 drinks at the bar we were told they were running late. The show on the info we were given started at 8pm. 8:15 we were taken to the VIP area (too dark needs better lighting) bar person was really lovely and chatty and we had the area to ourselves. There was no meet and greet of the performers. Show was ok maybe I was expecting something more but we had trains to get home and so we had to leave early. I’m going with a lack of communication this time round but I booked well in advance so we should have been expected and times need to be updated. We could have turned up at 7pm and been waiting a long time.
