Quirky room, that was very comfortable. Welcoming service with a real push on hospitality. Ignore any complaints about noise – the glazed windows in my room were sufficient in blocking it out. Missing a star from me because the public areas need a facelift and the huge carved bed frame needed a seriously good dust. Just about four stars I would say. Not a moan – I enjoyed my stay and would stay again. The location and portrait of extravagance are a lure.
Absolutely spectacular hotel on Canal Street, in the heart of The Gay Village. A birthday stay here has been stunningly luxurious and fabulous. Beautiful welcome, balloons, treats, and excellent service. Luxurious room with a gigantic bathroom. One of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in.
Special thanks to Gabor for many us feel so welcome.

Velvet Hotel absolutely exceeded our expectations. The room was stylish, spotless, and full of character — loved the luxurious touches and unique decor. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. Perfect location too, right in the middle of everything but still felt quiet and relaxing. Ideal for a romantic weekend or a chic city break. Can’t wait to come back!
Just stopped for a bite on my way to train. The service is exceptionally good.
Just wanted 3 sides to eat and not a full meal. That was no problem for them.
The best pigs in blankets I have ever had. I will definitely be back and I recommend anyone in the area to visit.
Didn’t stay in the hotel but went to the bar and the brasserie. Bar is elegant and service was pleasant. There is seating outside for days when the weather is kind. Inside there are comfy chairs, bench seats and armchairs. Music changes depending on the time of day. Downstairs is the brasserie and this is equally as nice. Cosy seating, nice lighting, feels modern with a elegant charm. Service was good albeit a little bit slow, but at least we were not rushed. Food was good and nice portions.
